Backswing Hinge and Swing

Here Jeff Ritter demonstrates 2 key components to the backwing: wrist hinge and arm swing. In the Jason Sutton video he talked about “rollers.” If you hinge your wrist, you will get the club going up and not around your body. Keeping the clubhead outside of your hands up until you are about parallel with your belt buckle is a good checkpoint to make sure you are swinging on plane and not rolling your hands to much. The swing and the hinge demonstrated in this video are an excellent way of understanding the early components of the backswing.
